Main Street announces Monetra® release 6.1

Gainesville, FL, September 05, 2007--Main Street Softworks, Inc., the premier provider of high performance, integrated electronic payments software, today announced the public release of version 6.1 of the Monetra® payment server software. Upgrading to this new release is recommended for all current users.

The Monetra® version 6.1 release introduces new features, product enhancements and successfully completes the third CISP-PABP audit. The SQL database back end has been enhanced to support prepared statements, improving performance on Oracle, IBM DB2 and other high end databases. Support for proxy's, with authentication, has been added to the Monetra® Server and associated utilities, allowing their use from behind RFC compliant proxied networks. The reporting back-end has been rewritten to enhance speed and efficiency, alongside the addition of a new post totals report.

Also included in Monetra® version 6.1 is the addition of new processor certifications. Fifth Third bank 510 protocol has been certified for Retail, Restaurant (with tips), Mail Order and eCommerce. First Data Nabanco was recertified, and support for restaurant was added. Paymentech Tampa was recertified and support for recurring billing, CAPN, and card-level results were all added.

Monetra® version 6.1 is licensed, distributed and supported across all major operating systems. Native server builds are currently available for Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, IBM AIX, SCO Unix, Sun Solaris, Apple Macintosh OS X, and Microsoft Windows® systems, including Windows Vista.
